VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

Our Vacation Bible School will be held July 28 – August 1, 9:00 am to 12:00 Noon in Monsignor Reinbold Hall.  Registration forms can be obtained at the rectory office.

  

 

CRAFTY LADIES

The Crafty Ladies meet Mondays, 1:00pm -3:00pm, in Monsignor Reinbold Hall. Please come and join us for you will be welcomed.  For further information, please call Nancy at 660-0163.

 

Volleyball

The next volleyball date is Tuesday, July 8, 7:00pm, in the Parish Center.  All are welcome.

July 13: Teen Mass, 5:00pm in St. Mary’s Church, Barnegat.

July 15 – 20: We will be hosting a hot dog cart at the Carnival. Come and help us out!

July 26: Outdoor Movie Night at St. Mary of the Pines. Bring your lawn chairs. Snacks will be sold.

 

Mondays are Beach Days!!!

The van will leave St. Mary’s of Barnegat at 8:30am and St. Mary of the Pines at 9:00am before going to the LBI for breakfast and beach!!

 

OPEN GYM

Family Outdoor Movie Night

Mark your calendars for Saturday Night, July 26th for a fun family evening.  Our Youth Ministry will sponsor an outdoor Movie Night featuring “The Chronicles of Narnia” at St. Mary’s of the Pines beginning at dusk.  Bring your Beach Chairs.  A Free Will offering will be accepted but is not necessary to attend.  Refreshments will be available for sale by our Youth Groups.

Blue Claws Baseball

Join St. Mary’s Parish Family for “All Faith’s Night” on August 26th as the Lakewood Blue Claws take on the Delmarva Shorebirds at 7:05 pm.  Tickets are now on sale at the Rectory office. They are $9.00 each Adult and Child.  Senior Citizens receive a free meal voucher upon entrance to the park.  Only 250 are available and are going fast, so stop by the Rectory office and get yours today!  Let’s cheer on Fr. Ken as he throws out the first pitch!!!

 

 

 

Monica’s Daughters

Do you have a child, grandchild, or anyone else that you are worried about? Do you feel helpless to do anything for them? You have lots of company. We all suffer for our kids. Let’s do something that helps the most – let’s pray together. SURVIVORS OF SUICIDE

There is a support group for the Survivors of Suicide the second Thursday of every month, 7:30pm, in St. Francis Center, Brant Beach. The next session will be Thursday, July 8. For more information, please call St. Francis Community Center at 494-8813 ext. 156.

PARKING ANNOUNCEMENT

Effective immediately: There is NO PARKING ALLOWED ON BISHOP LANE by St. Mary of the Pines.  Any cars parked on that road will be ticketed. 

 

ALL SAINTS REGIONAL CATHOLIC SCHOOL NEWS

REGISTRATIONS FOR THE 2008/2009 SCHOOL YEAR at All Saints Regional Catholic School are being accepted. Registration packets are available for pick up at the school from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.  If you would like more information regarding registration, please call the school at (609) 597-3800.  You can also visit our website at www.asrcs.org.  There are openings left in our preschool program as well as in our kindergarten.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

If you would like to make a difference in someone’s life, please consider becoming a Catholic Charities Fix-It Program volunteer. This program provides minor home repairs and chores to seniors in an effort to help them remain safely in their homes. Examples of repairs or chores range from changing lightbulbs and batteries to fixing a leaking faucet or putting a sliding door back on track. Even if you can do only one kind of chore, we need you! WIN A FAT BOY!!!

Knights of Columbus #3826 along with the Toy Run Foundation are raffling a 2008 Harley Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle, valued at $18,500.00. Tickets are $25.00 each and only 1800 tickets will be sold. Tickets are available at the rectory. Drawing will be October 18. All proceeds will benefit scholarship funds, children of veterans, and other non-profit organizations. PARKING ALERT

Please do not double park or block cars when attending Mass.  We recognize, especially at St. Mary’s in Barnegat, parking is at a premium.  However, for safety and courtesy, exercise good sense when parking.  With two churches, parishioners have multiple choices both in attending Mass and for parking.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Our most heartfelt thank you goes out to the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce.  They recently held their 13th annual Taste of Southern Ocean County Hunger Relief Dinner and raised a record dollar amount from which St. Mary’s benefited directly. The Chamber of Commerce donated a check in the amount of $4,875.00 and an additional $1,125.00 in BJ’s gift cards to Ken’s Kitchen!!!  Thank you!!!
